INSURANCE COVERAGE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE POWERED PARAGLIDERS January 2007

Beginning January 1, 2007 United States Ultralight Association (USUA) members who fly powered paragliders will be able to purchase third party liability insurance. This is the same type of coverage that current USUA members who fly fixed wing ultralights, experimentals, experimental and special light sport aircraft, trikes and powered parachutes can purchase.

First Flight Insurance Group, Inc. and USUA have negotiated a special rate for powered paragliders because of their light weight, slow speed and maneuverability.

The same underwriting criteria will apply to powered paragliders as it does to other ultralights and light sport aircraft in the program, including the requirement that the vehicle be registered with the FAA or an FAA approved organization. Pilots must be a registered or an FAA certificated pilot and be a member of USUA.

COVERAGE FOR SKATEPARKS, CAMP PROGRAMS AND SPORTS PROGRAMS
